My First Cocoa Butter Cream – Natural Cosmetics Joy
Posted by perfumesgirl on
July 25, 2008
Since I started to use cosmetics, I was fascinated by women able to make their own creams, lotions and oils for facial and body care. I always thought that whole process of making natural cosmetics is complicated to do. Usually it is, but it doesn’t have to be.
Few weeks ago, I decided to start making my own creams for facial care, suited for warm summer time and to make it as simple as possible. Ingredients I used were cold press sesame oil, cocoa butter and lavender essential oil. I’ll tell you how I made it, but if you decide to make it too, you’ll do it at your own risk, because I’m just beginner and mistakes are possible.
This is recipe of my first cocoa butter cream:
- sterilize small glass jar
- put two tablespoons of cold press sesame oil in the glass jar
- put container with cocoa butter in another dish with warm water to melt it
- put one tablespoon of melted cocoa butter in glass jar with sesame oil
- mix cocoa butter and sesame oil together
- put five drops of lavender essential oil in cocoa butter and sesame oil mix
- put cocoa butter cream in refrigerator to tighten
That was it! I always apply this cream on wet face and gently massage it until it is soaked. If I find that my skin is still oily, I wipe it up. This cream is great for dry and normal skin. I just love it!

You are tired and stressed out after long working hours and all you want is to stretch down on your bad and sleep until tomorrow, but you have more things to do: play with your children, make something to eat or just catch up with some other things… Don’t worry! You can do it!
There are natural ways to lift and refresh you and your home- home perfumes! Essential oils are easy, healthy and quick way to help you and your family to refresh. Few drops of your favorite scent in ceramic oil burner will help you feel good as new.
Citrus essential oils are the best for refreshing your home:
So, how to make home perfume? It is very simple, actually! Put about 15 drops of your favorite essential oil or oil combination in water you put in ceramic oil burner and it will fill your room with beautiful healing scent in a few minutes. I like to put 5 drops of lemon oil, 5 drops of bergamot oil and 5 drops of orange oil in oil burner, but you can be creative and combine oils the way you like. Try it, it is fun, you’ll love it!
Spice Up Your Love Life With Aromatherapy Essential Oils

November 30, 2007
History proves that, from very far past, people have used scents to improve various aspects of their life: health, environment, beauty and love.
Weekend is in front of us and it is great time to plan quality time with our boyfriends or girlfriends, lovers and spouses, so I decided to present you the most famous aromatherapy aphrodisiacs:
- Jasmine essential oil – probably number one aphrodisiac among essential oils; feminine, sensual and floral
- Ylang Ylang essential oil – if jasmine is No.1, Ylang Ylang is No.2. When you mix two of them, success is guaranteed!
- Patchouli essential oil - warm and exotic oil
- Sandalwood essential oil – exotic and woody
Now, here is what you can do with these sensual oils! You can put up to five drops of exotic essential oils in the spoon of honey and mix it and put that mixture in your bath tab full of water. You can put few drops of essential oil in your favorite massage oil… I think, I don’t have to tell you what to do after that!
One thing is very IMPORTANT TO KNOW: never put pure essential oil on skin, because it can damage your skin and some even can do a real harm. Always mix essential oils with something like: base oil, massage oil, water or body lotions.
Enjoy!

If you are depressed, sad and melancholic or you have some kind of infection, flue, sore muscles or digestion problems, I suggest you to try to refresh your space with Bergamot essential oil. Maybe you can ask someone to give you massage with oil that has few drops of bergamot essential oil and you will feel instant relief in your muscles and you will feel better.
Don’t apply bergamot or any other essential oil directly on skin. You can mix essential oils with olive or sunflower oil. Nice, warm bath with few drops of bergamot will relax you too.
The bergamot is citrus fruit that can be found in Italy, Guinea and Ivory Coast, but the best quality bergamot essential oil comes from Italy. Bergamot essential oil has citrus and sweet scent and is very appreciated in aromatherapy as well as in perfumery. According to some sources, in fragrance industry half of the women’s fragrances and one third of men’s fragrances contain bergamot essential oil.
You can even try to make your perfume on your own! Bergamot goes well with jasmine, geranium, lavender, neroli and other flower essential oils or you can use just bergamot. In 10ml of alcohol put few drops of bergamot essential oil and you will have your own bergamot perfume.

Lily Of The Valley Fragrance in Designer Perfumes

Lily of the valley essential oil is very used fragrance by perfume designers. Convallaria majalis or lily of the valley is beautiful aromatic white flower that grows in Europe, USA and Asia and has one or two long green leaves.
My mother has lilies of the valley in her garden and when they blossom, whole garden smells. When I come to visit, she usually puts lilies of the valley in the vase and the whole room feels so fresh and beautifully fragranced.
You should try putting these fresh flowers in the vase in your room or to buy some lily of the valley home fragrances if you can’t find fresh one. It is weird, that some people consider this beautifully fragrant flower as a weed, because it spreads easily.
This fragrance is known by its anchoring, stabilizing, centering, strengthening, happiness, improving memory power on people. Lily of the valley has heavy, sweet, floral scent and is used as top or a middle note in designers’ fragrances.
Some of the most popular designer perfumes have lily of the valley as a ingredient:
- Gucci Rush 2 by Gucci for women
- Envy Perfume by Gucci for Women
- Vs (v/s) Cologne by Versace, 1.7 oz Eau De Toilette Spray for Men
- Cristalle Perfume by Chanel for Women
- Passion Perfume by Elizabeth Taylor for Women
- Escada Magnetism Perfume by Escada for Women
- Giorgio Armani Emporio Remix For Him
- Pure Turquoise Perfume by Ralph Lauren for Women
- Charlie Silver Perfume by Revlon for Women
